Aiming at becoming an excellent company that continues a profitable and sustainable growth, the Group has mapped out a 2013 medium-term management plan that starts in 2013 as the first year and will implement various concrete measures to accomplish the following three basic strategies adopted in conjunction with the management plan.
Strategic resources will be actively allocated to growth areas. Sales and marketing powers will be reinforced and technological capability will be maintained and beefed up. In business for the Toshiba Group, the company competitiveness will be continually upgraded, and the scope of operation will be extended with some peripheral businesses additionally incorporated to expand the business in the social infrastructure area such as power generation and substation facilities, and water supply and sewerage systems. In business conducted independently of Toshiba Corporation, we will strengthen our efforts at the integrated facility business for the general industrial sector, and endeavor to expand the scope of business by leveraging our comprehensive capabilities for engineering, construction, on-site management, inspection and maintenance. We will also expand our sales activities aggressively both in Japan and abroad, aiming at a further growth of the business of the industrial power generation facilities.
The divisions map out business strategies to meet goals set by top management. The departments and sections draw up measures to accomplish the business strategies. Measures thus mapped out are drilled down from top management to workplaces, finally reaching goals of the level of individual persons. Measures are implemented as strategic measures drawn up after thorough communications among the different hierarchical levels. By executing these strategic measures, we will bring innovation one after another, at any organizational level as well as on an individual basis.
Giving the top priority to life, safety and law compliance in its business activities, the Toshiba Plant Systems & Services Group will work to gain the trust and confidence of society. More specifically, activities centering on the CSR Promotion Committee will implement exhaustiveness in business risk management and law compliance, will eliminate industrial accidents by thorough implementation of safety management, will conduct maintenance and enhancement of quality, will reduce the environmental load and will contribute to society in a planned manner, among various measures. The standards of conduct of the Toshiba Plant Systems & Services Corporation will be implemented more thoroughly and a good trust relationship will be built with the stakeholders.
